What would I be doing?

The Neighbourhood Team's main job is to find ways of inviting their neighbours into a community celebration of their street. The next project for Burnthouse is East Side Poets, celebrating the streets named after Poets, from the school down to Topsham Road.  After that, there'll be a new street project, around and around the Burnthouse Lane estate ..... all the time collecting more nominations and votes for where to go next.

You'll do this as a team, with the support of the Burnthouse Lane Squilometre and with training provided for free.

PLUS!  You'll come into a network of other Neighbourhood Teams all across East Devon where you can share ideas, resources and inspiration and attend an annual Pod Celebration in your honour!

What kind of time commitment is there?​

Across the team, the total commitment would be an average of 7 hours per week.  So if there's 7 of you, that's just an hour a week!  (This can be flexible).

And we'll help you find the right role for you inside that team:-

-Facilitating
-Door knocking
-Listening/welcoming others
